Hyaluronic Acid is a polysaccharide of highest molecule weight, composed of alternated molecules of N-Acetylglucosamine and Glucuronic acid. It is a member of the Glycosaminoglycans family which is found in the collagen everywhere in the body. Opposed to other types of connective tissues, Hyaluronic Acid isn’t linked to other proteins or sulfur.
Hyaluronic Acid supports the structure of the connective tissues by acting as a water-magnet in order to maintain and support the extracellular fluidity.
Its role in the body:
Hyaluronic Acid is a viscous liquid with exceptional lubricating proprieties necessary to the essential functions of numerous parts of the human body, including skin, cardiac valves, aqueous humor of the eye and of the synovial liquid (lubricates the joints). Skin contains more than 50% of the Hyaluronic Acid in the body. Considering the fact that the skin is composed of more than 70% water and renews itself easier than most of the physical tissues, Hyaluronic acid is absolutely essential to its structure and daily maintenance. It is constantly implicated in the cellular repairing and renewing, emanating from the daily exposure to sun rays, pressure, heat and healing.
Hyaluronic Acid Sources:
Hyaluronic acid is produced by fibroblast cells. Commercialized sources can come from cockscomb, cartilage and microbial fermentation. Now, the nutritional supplements are from vegetarian source issued from microbial fermentation.
Use of Hyaluronic Acid supplementation and its dosage:
Our organism is in a continuous state of reconstruction. New skin cells are replaced every 20 to 30 days. Normally, Hyaluronic Acid, which is in the skin tissue, is destroyed by an enzyme called Hyaluronidase at a precise level. The degradation of this Hyaluronic acid can be increased by excess of riboflavin consummation (B-2), by ultraviolet exposure and by a viral action. Any long term overexposure on one of these factors can lead to premature destruction of the connective tissues.
Considering that 10 to 150 mg of Hyaluronic Acid are normally metabolized or evacuated daily with people over 50 years of age, it would be useful for them to start taking 1 to 3 capsules a day (1 to 50 mg) of this supplement, just to maintain the balance.
Do not take more than the recommended dosage. Keep out of reach of children. Not recommended for pregnant and lactating women. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
Take 2 capsules three times daily during a meal.
